Philodendron, the only indoor plant that I can keep alive.
For those of us with a brown thumb, this is the plant to have.
It needs little care to survive and can be found almost anywhere.
The best thing about this plant is one can make many.
All you have to do is cut a few overgrown stems from the original plant.
Place them in a jar of water.
They like filtered sunlight.
Let it sit for a couple of weeks.
Before you know it, you have tons of roots ready to be planted.
Make sure you put something in the bottom of your pot for drainage.
I used some old seashells.
Plus it will take up space so you won't need as much potting soil.
And there you have it! A new potted plant.
A thrifty and easy way for us brown thumbers to fill our home with real plants.

Sad to say, but I can't even keep *these* alive ... thus, the reason for my "silk" thumb! Great tips ... thank you for sharing. And, thank you so much for your kind note about my Valentine's kitchen ... now, go get your "lonely" candle and give it some company. LOL.
