August Christmas Ornaments
Does a part of your summer vacation hang on your Christmas tree?
And like me, couldn't you gaze at these dried hydrangeas for hours?
What if we really could save time in a bottle....
or at least capture a few cherished memories.
These are from my garden, my daughter Katie loves to dry flowers.
She helped me make all of these beautiful ornaments.
We went to the beach ONCE this year. Why only once? Because we joined a Water Park. Cement, lounge chairs, clean water, lazy river, concession stand... 20 minute drive... Need I say more?
Did you know that we live on a bird farm? We have hundreds of birds.
Mostly waterfowl, peacocks and geese.
And did you know that Peacocks are wonderful mothers? They are so interesting to watch. They love their babies and go to great lengths to protect them.
My husband stopped along the road and jumped a ditch to get me this cotton.
Yes, he loves me.... cotton, the fabric of our lives.
I picked these up at the thrift store.
I made 14 ornaments for around $3.00. If you decide to save memories in $.99 thrift store ornaments, don't forget to save the box so you can store them safely.
These ornaments took me down memory lane, so much fun,
I hope you've been inspired.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
I'll be joining these parties-
